पहाड़ के नज़दीक
वो अपनी गायों के साथ
बड़े सुख-चैन से रहता था।
उसकी गायों में से एक थी
पुण्यकोटि नाम की गाय।
पुण्यकोटि को अपने बछड़े से
बहुत लगाव था।
शाम होते ही,
अपने बछड़े से मिलने के लिए बैचेन
वो रंभाती हुई घर की ओर दौड़ पड़ती थी।
उसी पहाड़ पर एक शेर भी रहता था।
एक बार बहुत दिनों तक
उसे खाने को कुछ नहीं मिला।
लेकिन ज़रूर मुँह बंद रखना
और बिलकुल बात मत करना।”
“लेकिन… लेकिन…
मेरे तो पंख नहीं हैं!” मैंने कहा।
उन्होंने एक डंडी ली।
गंगा ने एक सिरा पकड़ा।
यमुना ने दूसरा सिरा पकड़ा।
मैंने बीच में पकड़ लिया।
फड़ फड़, हम ऊँचे उड़े।
सब ठीक था, जब तक…
बक बक बक बक…
मैंने अपना मुँह खोला।
ओ…!
बस, मैं ऐसा हो गया।
