3 Cardio Mistakes That Are Stopping Your Weight Loss

You don’t need summer to do cardio.

Rather, it should be a staple in your training.

Cardio training won’t only keep your body fat low but also help you achieve and maintain a certain level of fitness and health.

As a matter of fact, cardio is one of the best weight loss tools.

What’s more, it’s great in boosting your cardiovascular endurance.

The only problem is that most of us don’t know how to effectively use it.

Many are even falling victim to certain mistakes that are actually stalling their progress.

So, if you’ve been doing cardio exercise for a while now but aren’t losing as much weight as you should be, then you could be doing it wrong.

Are you using the treadmill too much for hours and hours on end?

You should know that too much low-intensity cardio isn’t efficient.

Want to know more about this? Keep watching!

1. You’re doing too much steady-state cardio.
Low-intensity cardio such as walking or jogging is fine.

But if your goal is to lose weight, then doing such exercises won’t yield you the results you want.

Frankly speaking, it’s a complete waste of your time considering your goal.

On the other hand, steady-pace cardio is amazing for strengthening your cardiovascular system.

However, what it won’t do is to get you shredded and toned, no matter how much or how often you do it.

Instead, you must get creative, say, jumping off a cardio machine every couple of minutes to work in intervals of jumping rope so you can get your soar your heart rate up.

2. You think that more cardio gives you a free pass to wolf down.

After an intense cardio session, you may be tempted to make a beeline for your favorite donuts.

So many people believe that by doing a ton of cardio, you can eat whatever food you want and still get away with it.

Well, sorry to rain in on your parade, but a poor diet and improper meal plan will never be outrun by cardio.

The key here is to ensure that your calorie intake is less than the number of calories you burn.

However, this is very hard (if not impossible) if your diet is high in fat and sugar.

Cardio won’t make a difference if your diet is messed up in the first place.

3. You do the same thing over and over again
Do you get on the same cardio machine, clock the same amount of time, and at the same intensity every single day?

If so, then you should stop this habit.

Doing similar things over and over again will make your body adapt and stop it from changing.

In other words, you won’t lose body fat at this rate.

That’s why you must switch things up.

When you workout, push yourself harder than the last time.

Change up your routine as well as intervals.

Don’t stay on the same machine for more than 4-6 weeks.

That’s it! Now that you know the cardio mistakes that are halting your weight loss progress, we hope you can get amazing results next time without wasting your time.
