3D Origami Gem / Crystal Tutorial – DIY – Paper Kawaii

Learn how to make a pretty 3D origami diamond, this a square shaped gem or crystal decoration. Using one piece of square paper. These gems make super cool hanging decorations. More advanced model, but not too tricky!

Also there’s a funny thing at the end… ? I don’t get things right all the time! ?

I had a hard time with the closing of this origami gem. It will stay shut without glue, IF you use textured paper, and make the folds REALLY crisp and harsh – especially the folds the the bottom… ?

This 3D origami crystal is one step on from the origami square gem box posted here: https://youtu.be/8wDAvUYEoTs If you have trouble with the little triangular folds at about 6:08 then that video might help ?

This is a more complicated model to make. I am thinking of drawing up the diagram for this, depends on how well the video does, so do let me know in the comments if you would be interested, and don’t forget to give my video a thumbs up! ???

Paper used: 17 x 17 cm

Final size: 6.8 x 6.8 x 5 cm
