Becoming a parent changes everything! For all future and actual parents, we decided to show how a woman on maternity leave feels and how she spends her days.

A child in a family changes everything. Staying at home to look after the kids is no less a job than going out to work in an office, and sometimes it’s even harder.
Well, for all future and actual parents, we decided to show how a woman on maternity leave feels and how she spends her days. And don’t miss our small funny bonus about differences between mom and dad!

10 major differences between mom and dad 5:56

SUMMARY
– Feed, wash, change a diaper, give a back rub, coo, feed, change a diaper, wash clothes (yep, babies drool and spit up a lot!), play with a rattle, wash again, feed, walk. Children of preschool age require mom’s attention at least one time in every 4 minutes. It sums up to 210 times a day!
– It’s time to sleep? Who said so? Nobody bothered to inform the baby about it. They cry and refuse to go to bed. Time to eat? No way! This little one won’t eat! And try to take a baby for a good healthy walk – they don’t want to lie in a stroller and start to scream.
– What can be more pleasant than the feeling when you have been doing something applying a lot of effort and then achieved the desired goal? Alas, a woman on maternity leave can only dream of achievements. No matter how hard she works for the benefit of the family, the result is never visible.
– Researchers have found out that women tend to lose their self-esteem for three years after giving birth to a little one. Maternity changes the life of a woman dramatically. It affects their career, social circle, and body. Often this is temporary, but a woman in this state doesn’t know it for sure.
– There is a pretty impressive research about the hours of sleep a new mother manages to get. Only 2% of all women sleep more than 11 hours a day. 4% sleep 9 to 10 hours (not bad, lucky ones). A bit more, 14%, get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. The biggest part, 43%, consider themselves lucky if they manage to sleep for 5-6 hours. 24% of all women sleep for only 3 to 4 hours a day. And there is also a part of new moms who get 2 and fewer hours of sleep.

But there is one thing which outweighs all these inconveniences. And this thing is mother’s unconditional love for her babies. Fatigue, a routine, and self-doubt somehow disappear when the baby smiles for the first time and says “I love you, Mom.”
