All right, boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, now the moment you’ve all been waiting for, everybody in the world wants to know, how can I learn how to dunk?

I’ll tell you a secret. My secret to being able to dunk was, I’m tall. That knocked out the first thing. The second thing I needed to do was to make sure I worked on my legs, so I got stronger legs and I can jump higher. We are one of the highest flyers in the game, an expert leaper, expert dunker, Mr. 540. He’s going to show us some quick drills on how to get his legs right, or how he got his legs right, in order to build the muscles, which will enable him to dunk the ball.

The first and the simplest thing to do is calf raises. Calf raises are very, very simple. You can put a stand on a step. You just want to raise your heels off of the ground, flexing up your calf muscle. Up and down. You can do it inverted, where you point your toes in. Point your toes in, do the same thing, raise your heels up off of the ground. An outverted calf raise, pointing your toes out, raising your heels off the ground. That’s going to help strengthen those calf muscles, enabling you to jump higher.

Also, we can do power jumps. Power jumps is when you get down real, real low, get down real low and you explode as high as you can, up in the air, bringing your knees up. That strengthens your whole leg area, including your quads, and your area there, enabling you to jump higher.

Also, you want to do some leap ups. Leap ups, quick jumps. Notice how he’s not bringing his heels down onto the ground, he’s just touching and going, touching and going. Enabling a quick jump so you can get off the ground quickly. So you want to have a power jump, strengthen up those calves. Also a quick jump to get you off the ground quick, and we’re going to show you exactly what it can do if you check us out. And those are some quick, easy, vertical jump drills enabling you to dunk the ball.
