Double Chocolate Brownies – Recipe by Vrutika Patel

Ingredients:
– Butter – 85g or 6 tbsp
– Sugar – 1 cup
– Unsweetened cocoa powder – ¼ cup
– Flour – ¾ cup
– Eggs – 2 large
– Vanilla extract – 2 tsp
– Baking powder – ¼ tsp
– Salt – ¼ tsp
– Semi-sweet or dark chocolate – 170g
– Chocolate chunks – 1 cup (any kind)

Method:
– Cream the sugar and eggs.
– Melt the chocolate with butter and cocoa powder.
– Get all the dry ingredients together and run a whisk through them.
– Cool and add the chocolate mix to the eggs. Then add in the dry ingredients slowly.
– Pour the batter into a tin and cook in a 180’C oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in comes out clean.

Eggless Prep:
– For an eggless version replace the eggs with 2 bananas instead. You can also use 50g of prepared custard to substitute one egg.
