Ancient Egyptian Birth Control

Over 4000 years ago, Ancient Egyptians were far ahead of their time. They had advanced architecture, agriculture, writing and even birth control. Crocodile dung, Acacia fruit, pomegranate seeds and lamb intestines were just a few of the items that ancient Egyptians used in order to prevent birth. Although these methods may seems bizarre to us today, they were actually quite effective and Egypt did have a much lower birth rate than other areas of the world during the same time.
