Anandhi and Ananya are both bearing a child each, fathered by Thiru. While the circumstances in which each child is born is contrasting, both remain Thiru’s children in essence. These are the same babies who grew up to be Yazhini & Akhilan. While Ananya feeds on the food served in jail (as she has been punished along with her mother), Anandhi has a loving and caring family to take care off. The contrast is sharper when we see Ananya’s baby shower being conducted minimally in the jail premises, attended only by her mother and hardly any bangles; while Anandhi’s lavish event is attended by a gathering with all rituals being followed with due care. The contrast emerges even more when Anandhi gets into labour in a well furnished hospital and delivers a baby girl – Yazhini, while Ananya enters into labour in the minimalistic labor ward of the jail, eventually delivering a baby boy – Akhilan. The rest of the video is about how the two babies are brought up in environments that are diametrically opposite and contrasting to each other. Naayagi (Nayagi or Nayaki) is a 2018 Tamil language family soap opera, a serial with daily episode, starring Vidya Pradeep, Papri Ghosh, Ambika, Dhilip Rayan, Vetri Velan, Sushma Nair, Meera Krishnan and Suresh Krishnamurthi.
