Crochet jacket or crochet matinee coat for girls up to 10 years, Crystal Waves Stitch

In today’s step by step crochet video tutorial I will show you how to crochet this girls sweater jacket or matinee coat for girls from 5-6 years old using the Crystal Waves Crochet Stitch. You can also make this crochet sweater jacket or crochet cardigan for girls smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size. Just remember that these sizes are not exact since not all children are the same size. See below.

0-3M use 2.5mm crochet hook with #3 or DK yarn
3-6M I used a 3mm crochet hook with #3 or DK yarn
6-9M use a 3.5mm crochet hook with #3 or DK yarn
1-2 years use a 4mm crochet hook with #4 or Aran yarn
3-4 years use a 4.5mm crochet hook with #4 or Aran yarn
5-6 years use a 5mm crochet hook with #4 or Aran yarn
7-8 years use a 5.5mm crochet hook with #4 or Aran yarn
8-9 years use a 6mm crochet hook with #4 or Aran yarn
9-10 years use a 6.5mm crochet hook with #4 or Aran yarn

For this 5-6 YEAR OLD crochet sweater jacket tutorial for girls I used 4 skeins (100g each) of Stylecraft Special Aran or #4 yarn with a 5mm crochet hook. For the vest i used 3 skeins.
