In today’s crochet tutorial I will show you how to crochet this super easy granny square crochet baby overalls, crochet shorttalls, crochet baby romper for baby boys and girls from 6-9 months. These crochet granny square baby overalls are very easy to make so I hope you like them.

If you’d like to make this granny square crochet baby overalls or crochet baby romper smaller or bigger, simply use a bigger or smaller hook with DK or #3 baby yarn. See below.

Newborn use 2mm hook with #3 or DK yarn
0-3M use 2.5mm hook with #3 or DK yarn
3-6M use 3mm hook with #3 or DK yarn
6-9M I used 3.5mm hook with #3 or DK yarn (what I made)
9-12M use 4mm hook with #3 or DK yarn
12-18M use 4.5mm hook with #33 or DK yarn

For these crochet baby overalls or crochet shortalls for baby boys and girls I used baby yarn by Bebe Alize Sekerim in cream white #62 and light aqua blue #189. You can also use any DK weight yarn and If you’re in the US you can use any #3 baby with a 3.5mm Crochet hook. I used about 90 grams of baby yarn (30G in white and 60G in aqua blue). If you plan to make these for summer wear I recommend you use cotton yarn instead since acrylic yarn tends to be hot.
