We are back again with a pretty card for you to gift your Valentine. And yup! We know it ain’t Valentine day for months now, but, it’s never too early to prepare. Besides, no one said you can only gift cards to your love on Valentines! Gift this pretty pop-up heart card to that one special person who holds your heart, be it your lover, your best friend, your sister or even your mother! Why, it ain’t wrong to gift cards to your teacher either, for everyone has that one teacher we are the fondest of, don’t we? I know I do! So, grab those materials and get crafting, for we got a special someone to surprise!
Method:
1. Take a sheet of thick craft paper or chart and cut it into a rectangle of size 21cm by 15cm.
2. Fold the paper in half along the longer side.
3. Draw one side (half) of a heart on one side as shown and cut it, making sure not to cut entirely.
4. Now, open the paper and pushing the heart inwards, fold it again, flattening the paper. Crease well.
5. Cut a heart of the same size from a sheet of foam paper and paste it on the cut-out heart in the middle.
6. Cut another piece of paper of the same color and thickness of size 21cm by 15cm.
7. Fold the paper in half along the longer side.
8. Paste this below the other cut out sheet of paper from either side as shown.
9. Paste a picture or write a quote on the front and decorate.
10. Voila! Your Pop-up heart card is ready to be posted!
Tips:
1. You can use a template to draw the heart if you have one.
2. Use a glitter foam sheet for a better classy look.
3. Make sure not to use flashy or clashing colors.
