Drawing Kobe ❤️ 1978-2020

I’ll be honest. This was the most difficult drawing I’ve ever done in my life. Not technically but emotionally. I spent the evening alone in my studio trying to process what had happened earlier that day. So, this is my way of expressing sadness, gratitude and praise for someone who brought hope and inspiration to my life and to millions around the world.

I couldn’t bring myself to speak through the drawing during the recording but I hope you still enjoy seeing this process from start to finish. Total illustration time was approximately 1 hour.
