For this 3-6M knit baby bonnet hat I used 3mm knitting needles and used about 40 grams of #3 or DK yarn. To make it smaller for newborn baby use 2.5mm needles with DK or #3 weight yarn. To make it bigger for 6-9M use 3.5mm needles and for 9-12M use 4mm needles with DK or #3 weight yarn.
