Feather and fans crochet stitch for baby blankets and more #140

Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today’s tutorial I will show you how to crochet this feather and fan crochet stitch. It’s fast, easy and you can make just about anything with this stitch like crochet scarfs, sweaters, baby blankets, crochet hats and so much more.

For the tutorial I used a light #3 baby yarn with a 4.5mm Crochet hook. You can use any type of yarn as long as you use the recommended crochet hook size. The stitch multiple is 19+3.

To make a crochet baby blanket with this stitch:
With a #3 baby yarn use a 4mm or 4.5mm crochet hook and make 194 chains since the stitch multiple is 19+3. This will give you 10 fans. If you want it bigger with more fans then add chains in increments of 19. If you want it smaller take off chains in increments of 19.
If you use #4 yarn with a 5.5mm or 6.5mm chain 155. This will give you 8 fans. If it’s too big then remove chains in increments of 8 chains. If you want it bigger then add chains in increments of 19. Depending on the yarn and hook size you use, you will need between 450-600 grams of yarn.
