Hi, guys. We’re going to go over the Brabo choke, which is other wise known as the D’arce choke. We’re going to start from turtle, but we’re also going to hit it from a couple of other positions. All right. So again, Chad’s sprawled out. I sprawled out, and Chad’s doubled. Right. Now I can go for the anaconda and all this. Anaconda goes this way. The Brabo goes this way. Let me just switch sides. So if I were going to do the anaconda, I’d go this way. Doing the Brabo, I go this way. This way right here. Stringing my arm underneath his arm pit, saying hello, locking my hands in the gable grip. Now I want to flip him over this way. There’s many variations here.

Sometimes you could just sit and lock here, but if you fail, you could be in a bad position. All right. So the safest variation, I’m right here, clap my hands, and I’m going to chop the crown of his head so he flips over. And he’s right on his side. Okay. So once I get him on his side, I’m here, I like to switch my grip. So it was like this. I like to take a second and switch my grip and drive his head in. I shoot my fingers to the ceiling and whack. Now let me show you a little secret to the Brabo.

It’s not arm choke. What I want to do is adjust my arm this way. So I shoot it deep, lock it, adjust my arm, and then shrug my shoulders while I bite this way. Okay. You’ve go to play around. It’s a little hard to see this on the video. Okay. You’ve got to play around with this. The partner should feel a bite, a really, really painful bite in the carotid artery. You should not be burning your arms out. All right. Let’s go over the whole choke here. A lot of little details here. One, two, tip him over. Switch the grip, fist down, grab, wind his head in, and shoot to the ceiling. When you shoot to the ceiling, the elbow should be right against his chin, very, very tight , killing the space. I lock up, grabbing my bicep, put it here. Now if I just squeeze here, it’s all arm strength. Okay. Now what I do is I shift so my arm is parallel to the floor. Okay. And I just bite up with my wrist. Watch this, guys. Here. No strength whatsoever. Check this out. Look at this. No arm strength at all. Now a lot of guys hook the leg, and they do all sorts of things. You don’t need to do that if you just do it this way. One more time, from turtle. Boom. Boom.

Tip him over. Shoot the arm through, all the way to the ceiling. Lock your bicep. Hand goes here. Don’t squeeze him here. Adjust arm parallel to the floor. So I’m like this, parallel to the floor, but don’t loosen up. keep it tight, but adjust. And then bite your wrist as you shrug your shoulders. One more time. One, two, three. Shrug your shoulders. Bite your wrist. Watch this. Very tight, tight, tight. Okay. You can also hook the legs and do other stuff, but really you don’t need to. That’s the Brabo choke.
