Alright guys, I’m here with Mr. 540, my name is Swoop. We’re going to talk to you guys about great passing and great types of passes. In order to be a great teammate, you always have to make sure you’re a great passer. You want to make sure you can get the ball to your teammate with them in a position to score; where they can dribble or shoot.

What I want to do is talk to you about our first pass today, and that’s called a chest pass. With every pass you want to have some fundamentals. The first thing I’m going to do is make sure I’m square in my triple threat position. That means that my feet are squared around shoulder length apart, I’m crouched down, I’m looking at my teammate, I’m able to shoot, dribble, or pass the ball. Now when I pass the ball to my teammate I want to extend my arms with my thumbs down so I can pass the ball to the target area, which is right here. He can do the same, shoot, pass, and dribble.

I step, extend, and pass. A great pass. Step, extend, and pass. Now, when you pass that ball, make sure you are passing it into the target area. This is not a good pass. This is not a good pass. Make sure you hit them right between the numbers. Step, pass, and that’s how you execute a chest pass.
