For the best way to hang Christmas lights, you’ll need a tape measure, ladder, light clips, an extension cord, and light strings. Choose your Christmas lights (incandescent, LED, or multicolor bulbs) and make sure they’re rated for outdoor use. Use your tape measure to calculate how many Christmas light strings you’ll need and be sure to test your lights prior to hanging them. Add your display clips to the light strings and you’re ready to hang them. Once your outdoor Christmas lights are in place, add a smart plug to control your light display from afar using your smart phone.
