For this knit newborn baby cardigan jacket I used 3mm bamboo knitting needles. I used light #3 merino baby wool and used about 100 grams of yarn. You can also make it smaller or bigger just see below.

NB use 2.5mm needles with #3 yarn
0-3M use 3 mm needles with #3 yarn
3-6M use 3.5 mm needles with #3 yarn
6-9M use 4mm needles with #3 yarn
9-12M use 4.5mm needles with #3 yarn
12-18M use 5mm needles with medium #4 yarn
18-28M use 5.5mm needles with medium #4 yarn
