How to Remove Blackheads Naturally at Home

1. Tea Tree Oil

This is one of the most effective home remedies for blackheads — it works great for blackheads on your chin and nose. For the most part, tea tree oil contains antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic properties that help restore the natural look and feel of the skin.
It’s great to apply this essential oil directly on blackheads on the face by dabbing it on the affected areas. You can then leave it on the skin for about 20 minutes before washing it off with clean water.

2. Exfoliation — Brown Sugar, Honey, and Lemon Juice

It’s also great to prepare an at-home exfoliation mixture to get rid of your blackheads on your chin and nose. You’ll need to get some brown sugar, honey and lemon juice to get this done.
It’s recommended to mix one tablespoon of brown sugar, one tablespoon of raw honey and two tablespoons of lemon to get the job done.
Once you’re done, apply it to your face in a circular motion — be sure to massage it for up to five minutes before rinsing it off. Apply a moisturizer once you’re done.

3. Baking Soda and Water

Baking soda can help make your blackheads vanish by neutralizing any pH imbalance in your skin. It also works as an all-natural exfoliate to eliminate oil, dirt and dead skin cells. To get this done, simply mix up to two tablespoons of baking soda and two tablespoons of water — mix well to form a paste.
Now massage the paste onto your face and rinse off with warm water. Be sure to moisturize once you’re done. It’s not recommended to use this mixture more than two or three days a week — it could dry your skin.

4. Egg Whites Face Mask

You can also get rid of those annoying blackheads by using a natural face mask. The good news is, you only need egg whites and tissue to get the job done. For starters, whisk one egg white and apply the same to your clean skin.
Once you’re done, proceed to layer on a tissue on your face avoiding your eyes and mouth, and apply yet another layer of egg white. Leave the mask to dry for 20 minutes and then peel it off — pretty easy right?

5. Green Tea

Do you love drinking your green tea? If yes, it’s time to do something different — you’re going to put it on your face. It’s been proven that green tea can help reduce the oil on your skin — it also works as an excellent antioxidant. Mix one teaspoon of dry green tea leaves with one teaspoon of water and massage into the trouble areas for up to three minutes.
Be sure to rinse off and moisturize once you’re done. You can repeat this treatment for two or three days a week for better results.

6. Drink Water

It’s also an excellent idea to drink the recommended amount of water — that’s 8 to 10 cups a day. This is crucial. Doing this will keep your skin healthy and free from acne and blackheads.
Water helps to rid the body of bad toxins and also keeps your skin hydrated — this is exactly what you need for those pesky blackheads.

These are six great natural treatments for those pesky blackheads on your face. Just be sure to try one or two of these treatments and keep at it until the blackheads disappear — be sure to stick to the one that works best for your skin. Here’s to a clean and clear skin!
