Jason Voorhees – Sketchbook Page Highlight – Friday the 13th
This video is a video highlights dedicated to Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. Jason is absolutely one of my favorite villains/figures in any horror movie in history. I am very aware that Jason is somewhat of a rip off of Michael Myers from the Halloween movies. In my opinion I think Jason is much cooler and scarier and I think his movies are generally better. I absolutely love what they’ve done with him over the years from the silly horror movies to the extremely odd and funny movies Like Freddy versus Jason or some of the later incarnations of Jason. There is so much to love about this character and some of the video games that came out that we’re dedicated to the Friday the 13th were extremely fun and amusing. They were extremely amazing to enjoy. I really like scary movies and I like drawing things related to scary movies, I hope you do too. Scary movies are just a great thing to draw during the Halloween season. They are fun to draw all year round. my first Friday the 13th movie was actually Freddy versus Jason, if you can call that a Friday the 13th movie. I was really fascinated with the indestructible nature of Jason and I was really curious about his backstory. So a few years ago I went and bought a DVD collection with most of the Friday the 13th movies. I think his design changed from movie to movie in slight ways that were very interesting and unique. And I was extremely happy to draw him. This video is not a drawing lesson or drawing tutorials it is actually a highlight video of some pages out of my sketchbook, specifically this one page where I drew Jason and I later inked for a fact. I think he has a cool comic book look to him and I really hope you enjoy it. If drawing is as big a part of your life as it is mine I hope you also have a sketchbook full of ideas and sketches and dedications to your favorite characters in media. I think it’s the responsibility of an artist to have an actual sketchbook for purely ideas, and another sketchbook for general drawings and fanart. How do you actually organize your sketchbook? I’m very curious to know, and I would love to hear about it in the comment section.
