A young lawyer named Arivind falls in love with an astrolger’s daughter named Asha. They plan to get married but Asha’s father tells her that the marriage can cost Arvind his life. They think of living-in together against their parents’ wishes. Soon, Asha gets pregnant and they worry about the child’s future. Arvind has to go out of town for work and Asha’s father is breathing his last who says hurtful things because of which she decides to leave her house and go to a far off place. She lives in an ashram with her son. Arvind desperately looks for Asha but is unable to track her down. He finds it difficult to cope with this sudden loss. Months pass before Arvind accepts her absence and decides to marry someone else. Problem arises when fate brings Arvind and Asha back together under strange circumstances.
