Lemon and Thyme Remedy to Treat and Relieve Arthritis Symptoms

Arthritis is a disease that causes inflammation, pain, swelling, deformities and stiffness in your joints.

It usually manifests itself in your fingers, hands, feet, knees, wrists, elbows and shoulders although it can also affect your neck, back or hips.

It’s a very common disease that tends to affect the elderly, and is more frequent in women than in men. Although the disease does seem to target older people, young adults can also suffer from it.

The most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, which are both degenerative.

It’s very important that you find a specialist to diagnose you correctly.

But in the meanwhile, you can turn to natural remedies to reduce discomfort and ease the pain.

And the best part is that it only calls for two ingredients: lemon and thyme.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 tablespoon of dried or fresh thyme;
1 fresh lemon;
3 cups of water.

And here’s what you do:

Boil the water, and when it comes to a boil, lower the heat and add the thyme. Wait three minutes, turn off the heat and cover the pot.

Let the tea cool for 15 minutes. After the time is up, squeeze the lemon over your drink and mix well. Finally , strain and drink.

Drink three cups a day to help with joint pain.

If you suffer from joint pain frequently, consult a physician and include this drink in your routine.

But always remember: this natural remedy will only be able to complement the treatment prescribed by your doctor.
