Mushroom Biryani in Pressure cooker – Recipe

Ingredients:

Ghee – 2 Tsp or oil – 2 tsp
Bay leaf – 1 nos
Star Anise – 1 nos
Cinnamon – 2 nos
Cardamom pods – 3 nos
Clove – 5 to 6 nos
Cashews – 6 nos
Onions – 2 nos (Chopped)
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Green chilies – 4 nos
Tomatoes – 2 nos (chopped)
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Briyani masala – 1tsp
Mushrooms – 500 gms
Basmati Rice – 300 g – (soaked 10 mins in water)
Water – 450 ml
Salt to taste
Few Coriander leaves
Few Mint leaves
Few curry leaves

Method:
1. Soak the basmati rice in water for 15 minutes.
2. Heat ghee in the pressure cooker.
3. Add bay Leaves, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and cashews. Saute till brown.
4. Add onion and giner garlic paste. Cook till the smell disappears and the oil separates.
6. Now add tomatoes, mushrooms, turmeric powder,chilli powder, briyani masala, salt and mix well.
7. Add soaked basmati rice and mix gently. Reduce flame to low-medium
8. Add water and mix. check for seasoning.
9. Close the lid and put flame to medium high. Wait for steam, then put on the weight
10. Cook for 2 whistle. Turn off
