Mutton Biryani in Pressure cooker – Recipe

Ingredients:
Ghee – 2 Tsp
Bay leaf – 2
Star Anise – 1
Cinnamon – 1
Cardamom pods – 1
Clove – 4
Onions – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 2 ½ tsp
Green chilies – 2
Tomato – 1 (chopped)
Mutton – 250 g
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Chili powder –1 ½ tsp
Briyani masala – 2 tsp
Basmati Rice – 300 g – (soaked 15 mins)
Water – 450 ml
Green chili – 2
Salt to taste
Few Mint leaves
Few curry leaves

Preparation

1. Soak basmati rice in water for 15 minutes.
2. Take Mutton, add curd, ginger garlic paste and salt. Mix well. Marinate for 30mins
3. Heat oil in the pressure cooker.
4. Add bay Leaves, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves. Sauté till brown.
5. Add onion and ginger garlic paste. Cook till the smell disappears and the oil separates.
6. Add tomatoes, curry leaves, mint leaves and add marinated mutton.
7. Sauté till masala smell goes out and add water, and close the lid and whistles 6.
8. Once the pressure is down add soaked rice, mint leaves, ghee and red chili and let it sit for 3 whistles in high flame.
9. Now ready to serve. Happy cooking!!
