Paneer Biryani in Pressure cooker

Ingredients:
Ghee – 4 Tsp
Bay leaf – 2
Star Anise – 1
Cinnamon – 1
Cardamom pods – 3
Clove – 6
Onions – 2 (Chopped)
Ginger garlic paste – 1 ½ tsp
Green chilies – 2
Tomato – 2 (chopped)
Paneer – 200 g
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Chili powder – ½ tsp
Briyani masala – ¾ tsp
Coriander powder – ¾ tsp
Basmati Rice – 300 g – (soaked 15 mins)
Water – 450 ml
Salt to taste
Few Coriander leaves
Few Mint leaves
Few curry leaves

Preparation

1. Soak basmati rice in water for 15 minutes.
2. Take curd and whisk well, add briyani masala, coriander powder, red chili powder and salt. Mix well.
3. Add paneer and marinate for one hour.
4. Heat ghee in the pressure cooker.
5. Add bay Leaves, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and cashews. Sauté till brown.
6. Add onion and ginger garlic paste. Cook till the smell disappears and the oil separates.
7. Add tomatoes, curry leaves, mint leaves and add marinated paneer.
8. Sauté till masala smell goes out and add water, coriander leaves.
9. Finally add soaked rice and let it sit for 3 whistles in high flame.
10. Now ready to serve. Happy cooking!!
