After a big snowstorm, Rev and Avery compete for title of Champion of the Winter Bestival. Rev’s goal is to finally beat Avery, who usually “bests” him—while Avery is determined to maintain her crown as Princess from last year’s Bestival. Rev’s Dad suggests trying a “slow and steady” approach to win, but Rev can’t resist his usual approach—a whole lot of “Rumble power!”

When Rumble wakes up Rev in the middle of the night, they hear a strange sound, and see lights in the forest. The next day, while helping with the annual spring cleaning of the forest trails, Ben encourages Rev to investigate further. So, Rev and Rumble lead their friends in pursuit of the strange noises, following a trail of missing trees. After they split up into groups, things turn scary when Rev and Rumble’s friends go missing. What waits for them at the end of the trail is far from what they expect!
