What are Closed Cables? | Walkthrough of a Simple Closed Cable Pattern

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of information out there about closed cables, so I thought I would give a simple introduction to them in this video.

The tutorial explains what a closed cable is, and also walks you through a pattern for a closed cable motif, where a 3-strand braid is created inside a block of stockinette stitch.

The important step is to add increases before the cable and decreases after the cable in order to stop the sides of your knitting from being pulled inwards.
