The treatment of varicocoele depends on the grade. In mild grade there is no treatment. The doctor may advise you to avoid lifting heavy weights and use scrotal support, whereas in high grade varicocoele, or grade 3 varicocoele, the surgery is needed. The surgery is called as varicocoelectomy, in which a small cut is made in the groin and the veins which are dilated are ligated and divided. This procedure is a minor one and the patient can go home in the same day evening and resume his work the next 1 to 2 days.
