Why Does The Bible Say “The Dead Know Nothing”?

“For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten.” Ecclesiastes 9:5

I’m a psychic medium, and when Christians find me on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media site, they often challenge me and my beliefs by quoting scripture to me.

I finally decided that it was time to address some of these scriptures, and today, we are starting with this one.

I believe that the Bible, along with many other holy books, provide layers upon layers of understanding of the spiritual world. I think it’s also important to read each scripture and each line in context to truly appreciate what it is saying.

Today, we are diving into Ecclesiastes 9:5, and I’ll share my interpretation of this scripture.
