Today market is flooded with contraceptive pills and there are variety of pills, which pill to choose is a big task. The pills which are available are combined estrogen and progesterone, they are available in a pack of 21 and 28. the 21 pill pack you need to take 21 days of your period starting from day1 or day2 give a gap of seven days and then take for 21 days. The 28 pills pack should be take from day1 or day 2 and needs to be taken continuously without giving a break. there are other pills called mini pills these are progesterone only pills these needs to be taken from day 1 of period or 6 weeks post the delivery. There are other pills which are called center-chrome, these are to be taken twice in a week for first 3 months and weekly once till the effect is desired. So all these pills can be categorized into two big groups which will tell us which group can take what pill. Girls who are younger than 35 years without any problems with their health, fit they can go for a combined oral consumptive pill but ladies who are above 35 years of age who have heart problems, who are smokers, who have migraine, liver diseases, tendency of clot formation should not be taking the oral combined estrogen progesterone pill for them either the progesterone only pill or the cent o-chrome is the best option.
