Are results of PRP hair loss treatment permanent? – Dr. Rasya Dixit

Today one of the treatments of hair loss especially male pattern or female pattern hair loss is treatment called as Platelet Rich Plasma. It is called as PRP. Unfortunately the male pattern or female pattern hair loss is an ongoing process. It is like an ageing process. So everyday the hair becomes thinner, thinner and thinner. So what PRP does is it rejuvenates the hair and it bring back the volume and the thickness of the hair. However the same ageing process is going to affect the hair and it is going to make it more thinner. So if you ask me is the result of PRP permanent, I would say no. But it will give a lot of rejuvenation and it is setting back the ageing process to a certain extent. It is not going to be able to stop the ageing process. So it is like a maintenance process and you can go back to using your home care products. So no treatment unfortunately for male pattern hair loss is permanent as of today.
