In any surgery, after this gynecomastia procedure, the patient will experience pain, swelling, chances of post-surgery infections will be there or there could be possibility of hematoma. Specific to this surgery if liposuction is done or there is removal of only the glandular element, if it is excessively removed, then the patient might develop a saucer shaped deformity. if that is the case, then we need to infiltrate some amount of fat to get the normal counter. Bruisings may be present for the patient for upto 2 – 3 weeks. For these things to regress early, patients needs to be put on pressure garments for 3 weeks or upto 6 weeks. This will help the skin to get a better tone at a faster rate.
