When we talk about hair loss in men, especially in young men, there are 2 types seen. One is where you lose hair and you form a shiny bald patch, like a coined size. However if there is a family pattern of hair loss and you have started developing the early symptoms of balding, and the balding patches are being visible, them it is better to start Minoxidil. But remember that Minoxidil is a medicine and not oil and it should be used only under the advice of a dermatologist. Once you start with Minoxidil, the treatment is long-term, not 6 months or 1 year.it has to be used on a long term for years together and finds out from a dermatologist what is the reason for using Minoxidil for long term. the second thing what you can say is that if there is any other solution possible, to help you without using the long term medicines But if the dermatologist has suggested you to use Minoxidil, then you have to use it. It helps to maintain the amount of hair on the scalp. Maybe if you do not see improvement, you will not see worsening when you are on Minoxidil.
