There are different types of growth on the labia minora. It can be simple type of growth like the hair folliculitis. This can be because of the hair infection. Here we can give the local application of antibiotic and it will get cured. If it doesn’t get cured with the local application of antibiotic cream we can give the oral antibiotic. Second thing the boil can be because of the herpes simplex virus. So we need to get the diagnosis and the doctor will prescribe you anti viral drug for this. Then you can have what is called as the Bartholin cyst under the vagina and it may come up to the labia minora. If Bartholin cyst develop abcess then you have to do the surgical excision what we call as the marsupialisation. Sometimes on the labia minora you can have genital warts which are caused by the sexually transmitted diseases i.e. it is cause due to human papilloma virus. You have a different treatment for that. Either you can have a local application of TCA or surgical excision or electrocautery of the genital warts or cryotherapy or laser therapy.
