Causes of upper abdominal pain persisting even after taking antacids – Dr. Ravindra B S

Whenever there is upper abdominal pain, that is pain above the naval, even after taking antacids, usually the problem associated is an ulcer problem. Second is any problem in the gall bladder, sometimes gall bladder may have stones. Third, there could be any problem in the pancreas. Fourth is any issues in the liver. Basically when you have gastric medications and you have pain above the naval, think of gall bladder stones, or pancreas problem, or liver problems, or ulcer problems of the duodenum, what we call as intestine. That is why we have to be very careful about this.
