How to manage incision pain right after 1 month of Cesarean Section? – Dr. Shailaja N

Following caesarian section, usually pain in the incision site, should not last for a month. If it is lasting for a month, then it should be properly examined and find out what is the cause for pain and also the severity of the pain has to be assessed whether the pain is so severe that it is affecting the quality of life or whether by one month, it is unlikely because of any infection or any other problems. But however if at all there is any infection, then it has to be appropriately treated. If there is any defect causing hernia, then it has to be properly dealt with by the surgeon. Most of the times, when the scar is intact, the pain is because of the nerves which are entrapped, which are not visible to the naked eye. So such problems can be dealt with by giving the medicines for a prolonged period. So that has to be taken properly under supervision .One think I would like to advise is whenever there is pain, it has to be shown to a doctor and then take the proper treatment .
