First and the foremost thing is the mother has to be calm and the relaxed and stress free and the relactation can happen much faster. Along with that they can approach a lactation consultant. They will advise you on methods of stimulation of milk production. Some of the ways are coming to the mother, the mother has to take a good diet, increased liquids, the fluids should be 3 to4 liters in a day, in any form, that can be milk or water or juice or anything of that sort or food contents like fenugreek, garlic, coconut, all these help to increase the milk production. Starting the process there should be a nipple stimulation. That is there should be a routine breast pump should be used for every 10 to 15 minutes as this stimuates the nipple and increase the prolactin content and helps in the milk production. And also the bay should be kept near the mother, the baby should be bedded near the other. The skin to skin contact itself helps in the relatching and the increased milk production in the mother. Also some medications like galactogogues medications can be started in the mother, in case by all the other methods, the mother is not able to produce good amount of milk.
