Is Circumcision Surgery painful & its cost? – Dr. Ravish I R

Circumcision is nothing but cutting the preputial skin which is tight to avoid any obstructions. Circumcision is done in patients with balanoposthitis or tight phymosis in children or patients who have painful sexual intercourse because of tight foreskin. Circumcision is not painful surgery. It can be done by a local block or by a general anaesthesia. Local block is more than enough in elderly patients. We try to do circumcision under short general anaesthesia in children because mild pain and the patient moving will not give good results of circumcision. So circumcision is not painful and the cost is not much, it varies from five to ten thousand rupees.
