Nasal obstruction is one of the common problems we face. It would be simple thing is like because of a bad cold, it is causing swelling if the tissues in the nose causing difficulty in breathing, especially at night, it can also because by inherent structural issues in the nose like deviated nasal septum, the middle wall of the nose bone out of shape on the sideline, pushing to one inside because of extra growth of bone. As a result of that there can be obstruction. Turbinate hypertrophy is another common problem. In case of a narrow nasal cavity there is not enough space to accommodate the increasing size of the tissues of the nose. As a result of which there is increasing obstruction of the tissues of the nose in some cases there is ballooning of the tissue within the nose, we can it as conchobullosa, can also cause obstruction, these are normal structures abnormally shaped in size because of which we have difficulty in breathing. Apart from that there are nasal polyps, common growths that are seen, nasal infections, as well as allergies, can cause obstruction. Again growths in the nose, such as tumors in the nose can caused obstruction. Adenoid which is normally seen in children 2 to 4 years of age can persist beyond 4 years and cause Nasal obstruction.
