Itchy nipples is caused by a skin condition called as atopic dermatitis or in simple terms, eczema. this can be triggered by environmental triggers like dry skin, wet clothes stress, detergents foams etc. if at all the Itchy nipples is associated with crusted nipples, abnormal discharge through the nipples, then we can think of benign conditions of the breast called as erosive adenomatosis of the nipple or very rarely breast cancer called as paget’s disease. Breast pain can be cyclical or non-cyclical. Cyclical can be in younger age groups because of the normal hormonal imbalance which happens during menstruation. It will be very tolerable and it will go without any treatment. When it is non-cyclical, that is when it is not related to menstruation, it could be because of cysts or lumps in the breast. When it is diagnosed and treated, then the pain may get relieved. So it requires simple examination.
