Penile pain can be because of some problem in the area of the penis, for example, the penile urethra can get inflamed, causing pain to the penis. Balanitis, or inflammation of the penis can cause pain. Prostatitis can also cause pain. Whenever there is a kidney stone, there can be a referred pain in the penile region. These are the common causes. Any kind of infection like urinary infection, syphilis or any infection of that particular area can cause pain. The most painful infection is called herpes. The other most important pain which is very dangerous cancer. These are the causes that cause pain in the penis.
