Usually any ulceration in the mouth or throat, will be presenting as yellow spots, which is commonly seen in conditions like vitamin deficiency, tension, acidity or some injuries. You see small small round ulcers in the mouth or throat region and they are terribly painful, they last for about a week and then slowly they go away. If this happens on a regular basis, the ulcer is because of some of these factors.
If it is a rare phenomenon, and the ulcer is deep seated in the throat, it really makes a lot of confusion. One sides ulcer in the throat, will lead to lot of pain locally, as well as it’ll be migrating or spreading towards the same side jaw or ear also. The yellow color is nothing but dead tissue or pus deposited on top of the ulcer. If the ulcer comes and goes within 7- 10 days with or without treatment then you need not actually bother about. Usually, these kind of ulcers in different areas if they keep recurring. Only thing to be worried about is, if it’s persistent despite of adequate treatment or if it keeps happening in the same area over and over, enlarging, more pain, some blood deposited need to be looked at. Biopsy might be needed in some cases.
