What is Good Anti Mullerian Hormone AMH level for In vitro fertilisation IVF? – Dr. Phani Madhuri

AMH is one of the important tests that most of the IVF patients undergo. This test helps us in determining what can be the protocol that can be used for the treatment of these patients, what is the dose of the drugs that need to be given and what is going to be the response after the treatment. So it is very important predictor that is going to tell us what is going to be the outcome of the IVF treatment based on the AMH level. So grossly the levels are divided into poor response normal response and hyper response the categories that come into poor response is AMH less than 1 and added other factors of previous other failed IVF’s and other associated factors, poor ovarian response whereas normal or optimum response, where you get the average number of eggs out of the IVF stimulation is the ones with AMH between 1 to say about 3. 5 and the ones which have hyper response with IVF treatment are the ones which have higher AMH of AMH values of more than 3.5 nanograms per ml. So it very difficult to categorise to which group of treatment do the fall into and how to manage the IVF treatment protocols for these patients. AMH helps us in determining a lot of factors involved in the treatment protocols in IVF patients.
